Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy SMS Consent Evidence

This page documents the Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy SMS consent flow used in the iOS app and support-contact SMS setup. Pack Shield SMS is non-marketing and supports phone verification, support-contact setup, Shield notices, and user-requested accountability alerts.

Recipient SMS Consent Flow

  1. The app user verifies their own phone number after checking the SMS consent box.
  2. The app user enters a sponsor phone number and confirms that the sponsor agreed to receive Pack Shield texts.
  3. Pack Shield sends one invite to that phone number.
  4. The sponsor opts in by replying VERIFY followed by the six-digit invite code from their own phone.
  5. After verification, the sponsor may reply CODE followed by 4-10 digits to set or update a Shield approval code.
