Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy app and SMS features operated by ShibaTales. Contact us at support@packshield.app.

Service Purpose

Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy is a recovery support and self-control tool that can help users create friction around selected apps, websites, or device activity. SMS features support user phone verification, sponsor invitation, sponsor verification, Shield approval code setup, Shield change notices, user-requested accountability alerts, and command replies.

Eligibility

Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy is intended for adults 18 and older. By using Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

Not Medical, Crisis, or Emergency Care

Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy is not medical advice, therapy, diagnosis, treatment, emergency response, or crisis care. The service may be unavailable, delayed, or interrupted. If you may harm yourself or someone else, or if you are experiencing an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

SMS Program Terms

By entering your phone number in Pack Shield, checking the SMS consent box, and requesting a code, you agree to receive Pack Shield SMS messages related to verification, sponsor setup, Shield notices, accountability alerts, account security, and service operation.

Sponsors opt in only after receiving an invitation and replying VERIFY followed by the invite code to the Pack Shield number. Sponsors may text CODE followed by 4-10 digits to set or update their Shield approval code. Users and sponsors may text STATUS or HELP for support information where available.

Message frequency varies based on user and sponsor actions. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply START to opt back in where supported. Reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

User and Sponsor Responsibilities

• Provide accurate phone numbers and support contact information.
• Do not add yourself or a phone number you control as your sponsor.
• Sponsors should keep their Shield approval code confidential.
• Do not use Pack Shield to harass, impersonate, or send unwanted messages.
• Use Pack Shield as supportive friction, not as a substitute for professional or emergency help.

Sponsor Changes

Pack Shield may require the current Shield approval code before replacing a verified sponsor. If a verified sponsor is replaced, Pack Shield may notify the previous sponsor. A new sponsor must verify from their own phone and set a Shield approval code before sponsor-locked approvals are ready.

Availability and Delivery

We work to keep Pack Shield available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, SMS delivery, device-level blocking behavior, or compatibility with every carrier, device, operating system version, app, or website.

Digital Purchases

Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy may offer optional digital items, including Shibit looks or room bundles, through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Purchases are tied to the Apple account used for the transaction where supported by Apple. You can use Restore Purchases in Pack Shield settings to ask the App Store to restore eligible purchases.

Apple processes App Store payments, refunds, and payment disputes. Digital items may be adjusted, renamed, improved, or replaced as Pack Shield evolves, but we will make reasonable efforts to preserve access to eligible purchased content.

Acceptable Use

You may not misuse Pack Shield: Recovery Buddy, interfere with its systems, attempt to bypass security controls, reverse engineer backend protections, or use the service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized messaging.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information, including SMS and sponsor data.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date above shows when these Terms were last revised. Continued use of Pack Shield after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
